I've participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) twelve times so far, and won 11; I've participated in the 48 Hour Film Project five times on teams, and made it to Best of Denver once; I've participated four times in Cinema 2880 and its successor Kazoo 48 film race and won Best in Show once and honorable mention once. In the meantime I am writing up story ideas and working on 48HFP practice weekends every once in a while. I'm learning more about writing and editing for both books and films as I go. I'm currently editing a novel trilogy I wrote as part of NaNoWriMo.
