Now I remember what bad hair days were like!

As you can see in the picture, my hair is much shorter now. I donated it to Locks of Love. Contrary to what my co-worker was thinking, I did not donate my beard hair, too. It just got trimmed back a bit. It feels very different!

I am finding certain habits that I developed while my hair was long that I still do. For example, taking off my necklace... it used to be that I would have to extend my arms straight over my head and let my hair fall through when I took the necklace off. I have done that a few times since the haircut.

I gave the donation on Wednesday. Just yesterday (the following Saturday), I realized I was carrying around a couple of hair ties in my pocket still! I don't think I'm going to need those for a while!

I think this marks my third donation to Locks of Love so far... You can't exactly donate hair every 8 weeks like you can donate blood. Up until the time I got out of the Army, I had short hair, so I didn't start growing it long until I was about 22 or 23. The first time I got it cut short after having long hair, I hadn't heard of Locks of Love, so it went to waste. But now I know better.
